Antivirus Software Removal Tools |
By Tech Support | 04 May 2011
It is important to remove your current anti-virus product before installing ESET Antivirus. If you run two antivirus products on your system you will almost certainly see a degredation in speed as they will tend to "fight" with each other when accessing files.
To assist you with the removal, below are links to the major Anti-Virus manufacturers websites where you can download a removal tool.
A few things to remember:
1. You may need to restart your computer when the removal is complete so you should make sure that all programs are closed.
2. Follow the instructions for removal closely.
3. Make sure that you have downloaded and saved the installation files for ESET and that you have your licence and password available before removing your old anti-virus as when you have removed your current antivirus, you should not go into your email or access the internet until you have your new protection in place as for this short time when you have removed your old antivirus product, you will not have any protection.
4. If you are in any doubt, you can take advantage of our workshop where we offer a service to remove and install your new software.
